David Koleshis creates distinctive wooden lamps, mirrors, and accessories for the home. Keeping an eye on trends, he strives to create pieces that will complement and fit with changing décor. His work blends the use of natural wood with a technique he developed, which is similar to faux finishing.
The design elements distinguishing David’s work most clearly are his ribbed painted finishes and bird finials. All of his lamps and accessories are finely crafted and will add style and sophistication to the home or office.
David began working with wood early in life, taking art and woodworking classes as a hobby. But it wasn’t until he lost his job as an electronics cable inspector to foreign competition that he began working with wood for a living. As part of a retraining program, he was able to go back to school and chose a professional craft program at Worcester Center for Crafts. There, he trained as a furniture designer and builder. This hands-on program gave David the skills to develop and create his line of high-quality accessories for the home.
