Janette Franich

Handcrafted metalwork jewelry

Born and raised on a farm in the heartland of rural Michigan, Janette Franich started exploring her creative talents as soon as she could hold a pencil. She channeled this passion into a rewarding career as an art teacher in Coastal North Carolina. While teaching art to young minds brought her joy, the call to become a professional artist was too strong to ignore. So, in 2011, she stepped away from the public sector to pursue her dream of being a full-time artist.

Janette works with both precious and semi-precious metals and gemstones, skillfully employing age-old metal-smithing techniques. She pours her creative energy into designing elegant, lightweight jewelry pieces, drawing inspiration from the stunning beauty of the Appalachian Mountains. These timeless pieces, enriched with elements of luxury, reflect fine craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail.

Janette, an outdoor enthusiast, found her heart’s calling in Western North Carolina, which she’s proudly called home since 2016. When not at her workbench or participating in art shows, she enjoys painting, exploring trails with her loyal canine companion, mountain biking, and sharing laughs with friends and family.
